This new addition to NOMU’s inventory should please kids and parents alike…
Cape Town’s NOMU has a new pink baby in its ever-growing family – reduced-sugar Pink Milk….
NOMU PINK MILK is an extension to its ‘Reduced Sugar CHOCMILK’. It, likewise, features 40% less sugar per serving than other brands out there. Sweetening is via a combo of sugar, maltodextrin and stevia.
NOMU director, Paul Raphaely, describes it as having “a delicious, creamy strawberry flavour, making it ideal for the whole family, and certainly anyone who’d like to reduce their sugar intake without sacrificing on flavour and quality”.
He adds that PINK MILK, like CHOCMILK, is also 100% homegrown, designed, developed and produced in Cape Town, “helping to prove that even if the international brands can’t rationalise this market for activity, we will more than gladly do our best to step in to fill the gap”.
He’s referring here to the move by NestlĂ© South Africa announced it would discontinue Nesquik chocolate and strawberry (250g and 500g) from 21 August 2023, owing to a drop in sales and lower demand for the product. However, these still appear to be available on multiple online stores.
Similarly, NOMU speedily introduced Mayu when Unilever pulled Hellmann’s Mayo from local shelves early in 2023.
NOMU Pink Milk is currently retailing on the NOMU online shop at R75/250g canister.
