Ever classy and on trend, Cape Town’s NOMU has added a vegan hot chocolate to its range of drinking chocolates.

NOMU Vegan Hot Chocolate is described by the company as “deliciously rich and creamy, using only the finest plant-based creamer, sustainably-sourced cocoa powder and real, organic dark chocolate pieces, giving consumers a warm, indulgent, chocolatey hot beverage experience with absolutely no dairy”.

Director Paul Raphaely, while conceding that the concept of a dairy-free hot choc beverage is not mind-blowing in terms of novelty, asserts that “this concept has been done before, but just not quite this well, we think!”

He adds, “Taste and flavour wise, we think we have absolutely nailed it. It’s vastly superior to many others in the category and also boasts a list of claims, benefits and associations of which we are very proud.

“And clearly there is a big movement afoot in this direction. We need to be a participant.“
