PowerIce bars can be used before, during and after exercise. Based on and backed by research, the company says that used before a workout, the bar will power an athlete to run 19% further before exhaustion sets in. Core temperature cools to 37 C, maximising performance if taken during exercise, and when used after exercise, he says faster recovery occurred in 100% of cases.
The key to PowerIce is that it contains electrolytes and carbohydrates, a combination that is recommended by the American Council on Exercise for sessions lasting longer than 60 minutes. PowerIce contains no gluten or caffeine, is kosher and contains 100% RDA of Vitamin C. It has no high fructose corn syrup and contains only 30 calories per bar.
At present there are two flavours on the market, Lime Kicker and Orange Blast and they retail in the US online at $8.99 for a pack of 6.
