Packaged in its trade-mark ‘olde-fashioned’ style the product is supplied in cartons that contain ten 30g sachets of decadent Hot Chocolate powder as well as a 75g bag of mini marshmallows, a unique offering in this competitive market sector.
The Frankie’s team has taken 18 months to perfect the new product and is excited by the response of the initial product tests.
“We were really keen to have a product that tasted excellent when made using just hot water and our trials have showed us that we have achieved this,” says company co-founder Mike Schmidt.
“In addition, it was important to create a taste that was rich and creamy and delivered an authentic ‘olde-fashioned’ hot chocolate experience, and we’re confident that it delivers on this promise.”
The recommended retail price is R79.39, with product hitting the shelves in June.
With the bulk of winter still ahead, Frankie’s hopes for a successful boost to the normal seasonal soft drink slump.
