New Harbour Distillery in Woodstock, Cape Town, recently released its super-premium Protea Gin, packaged in a knockout bottle.

Clean and modern with bends at all the right places, while still keeping it earthy and authentic, this exceptional, 100% biodegradable bottle was made by local potter, Jade Snell Ceramics.

Husband and wife team, Nic and Andri Janeke, who established themselves as young passionate craft gin pioneers in Woodstock in 2016, recently unveiled their latest creation on social media, aptly named Protea Gin.

Protea Gin is produced by first sourcing the best neutral grain spirit and then rectifying it at the distillery with a copper catalysation process to ensure ultimate smoothness.

Nectar from individual Suikerbossie proteas are harvested by hand and added to a 13 botanical infusion.

Only 200 bottles were distilled and retail directly from the distillery for R1200 per 500ml bottle.
