SAB’s Flying Fish goes lite

SAB has launched a fourth and lite variant to its popular Flying Fish range of flavoured beers.

AS South Africa’s number one brewer and distributor,  AB InBev subsidiary, SA Breweries (SAB), is always  on the lookout for new market opportunities.

In 2013, SAB introduced Flying Fish beer in two  flavours: Pressed Lemon and Crushed Orange. A third  variant, Apple, was added in 2015.

Appreciating the fact that the uniquely bitter taste of  malted barley and hops is undoubtedly the reason for  beer lovers’ dedication to drinking beer, SAB brews  Flying Fish like any normal beer and combines the  juices and flavours in the fermenting liquid.

Building on increasing demand for products that are  low in alcohol and sugar, SAB recently launched Flying  Fish Chill.

This ‘lite’ Zesty Lemonade-flavoured beer  contains 30% fewer kilojoules and 35% less sugar and carbs than the other three variants.

Flying Fish Chill is available nationally in 440ml cans  (ex Nampak Bevcan) and 330ml non-returnable bottles (ex Nampak Glass) fitted with screw-top closures from  Coleus Packaging.

Using Berge Farrell’s designs,  Constantia Flexibles prints the labels, while Tropic  Plastics supplies the shrink film for the six-packs.

It’s  another all South African winner!
