It’s Liqui-Fruit Blackberry vs Ceres Apple!

BlackBerry recently launched the BlackBerry 10, it’s new and much anticipated smart phone. Days later, Liqui-Fruit launched the BlackBerry 250 (ml), in conjunction with a competition to win three BB handsets.

Says brand manager, Karen Veysey: “To kick off 2013 we wanted to connect our consumers to our new Liqui-Fruit Limited Edition BlackBerry, in true ‘the power is in the juice’ style. Its status: 100% fruit juice, high in vitamin C, with no added preservatives. This new Liqui-Fruit BlackBerry juice is the perfect anytime thirst quencher flavour 4U. 250ml Starter packs with a free straw are available from leading convenience stores nationwide for +/- R7,99 until June 2013.”

In cheeky response, Ceres Fruit Juice has now launched a Ceres Limited Edition Apple flavour.

“We thought we would have a bit of fun by responding to Liqui-Fruit’s recently launched blackberry flavour by launching a limited edition apple, just like competing handset brands out there,” says Nabeel Schrueder, brand Manager, Ceres.

As part of the launch, Ceres has gone a step further in the social media stakes, releasing an interactive online mgame which can be found on the Ceres Facebook Page. The tongue-in-cheek game encourages users to ‘root out the cheeky blackberry’s that have snuck into the beautiful Ceres Valley’ to stand a chance in winning one of seven Apple iPhone 5’s. The game consists of the Ceres Limited Edition Apple clearing the valley of all the sneaky blackberry’s by shooting apples at their competitor.

The Ceres Limited Edition 200ml Apple packs are available from March at all participating petrol station forecourts and Fruit and Veg City’s.
