29 Oct 2015 Amstel Lite obeys ASA order to change outer packaging
Brandhouse has issued a press release on the new packaging, however, making no mention of its spat with SAB at the Advertising Standards Authority, where it was accused of making its Amstel Lite beer look too similar to SAB’s Castle Lite.
Rather the PR says, “As the packaging is the first thing consumers see in store, the brand felt that giving the shrink wrap a refresh was the best way to achieve this.” Hmmm, this journalist thinks this is a trifle disingenious, but at least it has done the right thing!
